Aloha shirt illustration for the 55th anniversary of the movie "Otoko wa Tsuraiyo”
I drew the design for an aloha shirt commemorating the 55th anniversary of "Otoko wa Tsuraiyo" this year.
The aloha shirt will be a collaboration between "eanbe" and "Otoko wa Tsuraiyo", a company that creates fun and cool aloha shirts by being particular about everything from the fabric to the threads and stitching.
I was asked to illustrate the scene of Tora-san and Sakura welcoming him back to Shibamata, and I wanted to give the feeling of Shibamata in the 90's. So I reviewed the movie again and drew the scene through a bit of trial and error.

今年で55周年となる『男はつらいよ』を記念したアロハシャツのデザインを描きました。
生地から糸、縫いなど全てにこだわって制作して愉快でカッコ良いアロハシャツを作る「eanbe」と「男はつらいよ」のコラボレーションアロハシャツになります。
柴又に帰ってきた後ろ姿の寅さんとそれを迎えるさくらの風景をイラストにという依頼だったのと、90年代頃の柴又の感じをだしたいという事だったので、映像を改めて見直したり試行錯誤で描きました。
